The Penn School Reunion Video
The Penn School is a historic institution located in Beaufort, South Carolina. It was founded in 1862 by Quaker missionaries, philanthropists and abolitionists. Their purpose was to prepared the people for freedom by educating them to survive economically.
The school became a foundaton of hope and has played a significant role in the development of the African-American culture. The school celebrated a 50th Anniversary Class Reunion in 1991. The video was created from standard non-professional photographs and a wrinkled copy of their reunion program. The resulting 8 minute presentation is a moving tribute to this special group of Americans.
